Immigration and Asylum
Having been called to the bar in 2012, Zeeshan secured pupillage in 2016, covering areas of Administrative, Immigration, Human Rights and Criminal law. Prior to this, Zeeshan worked for a busy solicitors firm who were instructed in matters covering the entire spectrum of Immigration and Asylum law; wherein he developed his expertise in this area. Zeeshan regularly prepared appeals in the Tribunal (AIT). He also regularly appeared in the First Tier Tribunal covering appeals as well as bail applications, gaining valuable advocacy experience.
During his pupillage, Zeeshan has regularly prepared grounds for Judicial Review and has secured positive results in applications seeking injunctive relief. He has also prepared grounds for permission to appeal to the Court of Appeal against decisions of the Upper Tribunal. Zeeshan has developed an expertise in all areas involving European Union free movement law and Immigration and Asylum law.
